Feel with us the words from our dear volunteer Pradipa about her new fraternal gesture to the Field Mothers of the Ubuntu Nation Project in Malawi.

“The agricultural work done in Doha, Malawi, will generate at least food for the school and other project beneficiaries. Having a job, having work, and getting paid for it, gives dignity. When the salary is fair, of course. Being able to support your family gives dignity. In my experience, there is no way to help the child without first helping the mother.”

The prostitution issue… is horrible and of horrible consequences. Yes, whenever possible, in the woman wants, if she asks, it is our duty to make that rescue.

I listed some reasons, but the answers were always ‘just because”. I simply donated. But I had to choose a cause. The Fraternity without Borders has many units, many causes… It is very difficult to choose.

I confess that I have a predilection for Malawi, for the work that the Fraternity is developing there, for everything there. I think I have fallen in love. If I need to say anything to these women, I just say ‘I believe in them’!

A good number of the refugee women who are in the Dzaleka Refugee Camp submit to a wide variety of activities to feed their children, including prostitution.

The Ubuntu Nation Project has a Reception Center right next door, which has got job opportunities for them, in cultivation of the land. But we need people like Pradipa, who can and want to pay the salaries of these women, in this chain for a decent job for them.
